So heres the background, pebbles and bam bam are two dragons we bought when they were 2 months old, we were (i emphasize were) naive and believed every word the girl at the store said. You can keep them together theor whole life, feed once a day yadda yadda. All stuff i found was wrong and foxed right away when researched. They are now 6 months old and bam bam seemed off. Started avpiding basking. When she did i took note pebbles climbed on top of her, so i set up a temporary tub (yesterday) and separated them. Today, both are sort of avoiding basking. Laying under the basking rock nuzzled into a corner asleep. Their hot spot is 103 taken with a temp gun, reptisun 10.0 uvb (temporary, new big better home being built with tube soon) 8 inches from their spots, paper towel, fed crockets supers and butterworma, silk and horn worms a treat. Poop daily after they eat. Greens are collard bok choy and a little bit of grated carrot and cucumber insides. Blueberries and strawberries as a treat, all dusted with depending on the day calcium or calcium with d3 (alternated every orher day) bath every 3rd day where they drink, mist every other and a day cycle of 13 hours. Let me know if i missed something and sorry for the apelling errors. Using boyfriends ipod and he doesnt have autocorrect. Thanm you :)

Hello,

How long have they been separated for now just a day?
They may go through a relocation type of stress but should get adjusted pretty quickly.
Give them a little bit of time to get used to the changes & they should be just fine.
If they did get along, you can still get them out to play together out of their tanks daily to see if that helps to perk them up.
Which UVB type & brand are you using?

My observation is : yes , they do miss their "companion" for a while, but soon adjust to having no companion.

Is more of an issue with lizards who tend to live in groups (colonies) with sisters, offspring and aunties and related young and an alpha male like Rankins and Water Skinks .

<<< I made a similar error with Rex and Puff , when I noticed some dominance behaviours I separated them , I didn't make the same mistake with Peppa and Toothless, separating them in their first week with us .... Puff sulked for a few weeks , I compensated by giving him lots of extra snuggles and food treats (he became my favorate beardie), but Rex was immediately like a completely different little dragon as soon as she realised she had a tank (100L rearing tub)all to herself and no longer had her brother to compete with :)

silk <<<< silkworms are great feeder to use as staple
and horn worms a treat. Poop daily after they eat. Greens are collard bok choy and a little bit of grated carrot and cucumber insides. Blueberries and strawberries as a treat, all dusted with depending on the day calcium or calcium with d3 (alternated every orher day) bath every 3rd day where they drink, <<< bathing too frequently
mist every other and a day cycle of 13 hours.<<<<< I'd nudge that up to 14-15hrs so they get more time to bask and digest their food.
Let me know if i missed something and sorry for the apelling errors. Using boyfriends ipod and he doesnt have autocorrect. Thanm you :)

Yes it was just two nights ago because bam bam was hiding and seemed stressed, it's a coil UVB until their penthouse (a 4x2x2 melamine enclosure) is built, where I'm installing a 24" reptisun t8 tube seeing it's popularity and reccomendation on the site. (I think that's the one. I'm going off the top of my head)

Thank you for the observation, yes other then some basking dominance they got along well, hunted together no problem (I always made sure there were too many crickets to avoid fights) I will take them out so they can hang out together today after they eat and bask.

I forgot to mention that supers and butters were treats, they have a "worm day" each shipment I get in (every 2-3 weeks) where I treat them after they eat their crickets. Thank you for your experience with the matter, I will give them lots of extra love and play time. I will extend the time between baths and slowly increase their daylight cycle, sorry if I missed something I can't go back and read it!

Thank you all again, it's very much appreciated and I just want my pebbles and bam bam to be happy!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
