Is Rex in danger with these logs????

Hey all.. I'm a new beardie owner and well I just upgraded Rex's home, I got him a bigger tank. I was wondering if it was safe for Rex if I used logs that I found outside

I've cleaned them in bleach and removed loose pieces of bark. I've also heard that baking the logs for about 10 or 15 min will help remove any bacteria. There stil not in the tank, I wanna be sure first.

Just for reference, Rex is about 6in STL, he's still a little baby! Thank you all in advance!!!

Yes, as long as you bake them, they should be fine. I cant remember the suggested temps and length of time though, maybe someone else can help.
And just make sure that you secure the log very well, so that the log doesnt fall or move and hurt the baby.

What type of wood is it?There are some types that should not be used like Pine for example due to the fumes they emit when heated up.Either way yes you would need to bake them at 350F for about 20 minutes to ensure that any parasites or bacteria are killed.

well i'm actually not sure what type of wood it is. I found it outside.. i'm not really a wood guy.. I live in S. Florida and i don't really have alot of pines around me..

Would the wood be bad for my beardie though??

Pine would be but if it isnt pine and its baked you should be fine.
