So when i took Hige to the vet in august/september re. parasites he told me he looked too skinny and that i should try and bulk him up - this was after almost a month of fattening up! He was much lighter than the female, despite being bigger. He's bulked out a lot more now and i wanted to check he's at a good looking size so i can stop his 'fattening up' diet.
His tail has gotten chunkier, has more muscle on his legs and his shoulder pads are much more prominent. He has more belly too and his spine isn't so obvious now :D He's 395g now and much more active.

When i fist got him (He is the one on the right)

He's certainly getting there - keep at it.
I strongly STRONGLY suggest getting a second tank, so that they can have individual houses. That way, he will get his fair share of the food and you can control things if one gets ill or they turn territorial. It'll also help save her from overbreeding.
Remember - they're solitary animals in the wild. They don't really "do" lonely when it comes to other dragons.

ah don't worry - i separated them already within a week of getting them :) She was just much fatter than him despite being together since babies :3 At the time i didn't know but i knew i didn't want to breed them so rehomed her to avoid any undue stress through laying eggs etc :)

Good move!
In that case, slow and steady is the way to go.
She was much fatter, because she was the dominant lizard - she took the food and he didn't have a choice in the matter. My littlest rescue, Jacques, pigs his food down as soon as he sees it because, where he lived before, he didn't know when he was going to get fed next.

That was the confusing part - Hige was definitely the dominant one. He always basked on top of her, stole all her food and was quite happy to stand on her head in pursuit of a roach. He would chase the female, Tilly, away from his favourite spots. Tilly was just unable to eat with him around and when he wasn't there she was still uninterested in food - she was always busy looking around no matter where i fed her. He stole all her food so i'd have expected her to be smaller and him the larger! I was only getting 2 or 3 superworms in her per day for a week or so (They were all she'd eat). The previous owners told me Hige stole all her food, but she would guard the veg bowl whenever she got the opportunity. She eats like crazy in her new home though, and the fact that she was 450g when hige was 295g is weird, so i get the feeling the previous owners may not have told me everything. That or parasites - which i've treated now :)

It was just very odd that she never ate and was the heavier, while he ate everything and was the thinner one :)

Beardies are funny animals - I'd suggest getting a blood test done just to check there's not any underlying condition - it seems kidney defects are becoming quite common.

Mind you, Jam (one of my females) is a chunky gurt beast - and Tsam (my biggest male) is always very trim, though they eat the same things in the same portions. It's easier to dish out six identical meals than it is to faff around. That way they all get to try new things and have favourites some days.

the last now picture he looks pretty skinny still...I'd slip in a few extra wax worms (ie. beardie chocolate bars) for him until he get's some nice beardie boobies! :D (That is of course just me) I worry that my guy is going to go down this winter (fingers crossed he won't) and being such a worrier I worry about him having enough fat on him to make it through!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
