Hey guys, so lately I've been busy doing things, and because of that, I feel like I haven't been giving Bandit the proper care. Now that it's summer, I want to get back on track and give him better care. When I was busy, I didn't feed him as much, once every 2-3 days (I feel so guilty) I haven't given him calcium, and would only feed him super worms and mustard greens and bok choy. I feel so bad and I want to give him the right care now that i have the time to do so. I'm going to give him variety in foods now and better insects. Anyone else have any suggestions/tips? I also wanted to ask if you guys think he is skinny. Compared to other two year olds, he doesn't have the same fat/thick appearance. http://imgur.com/VcBfhsO
I feel so bad. I feel ashamed to say I had been neglecting my Beardie. I hope I can make him happy and healthy again. Anything helps. Thanks

Hi J...he's a bit thin but not unhealthy looking at all. Even that angle might make him look thinner, it always does when the pic is head first. Just get back on track + he'll be fine.

Silkworms - he'll scoff them down and they'll help build him back up while being very nutritious.

At least an insect feed per day will help too.

Thanks. I'll get those today. I've heard that too much can cause liver problems. Is that true? Or do I just have to limit how much he gets?

Dubia roaches are good. The superworms are too high in fat (not good for the liver) and should be occasional treats only. A lot of people find silkworms too expensive to be a staple feeder. Black soldier fly larvae (aka Phoenix Worms, Calcium worms) are good. Personally, I like dubia roaches. No smell or noise and they don't die off like crickets. Dubia roaches also cannot climbing smooth surfaces. Your lizard's teeth will also benefit from a feeder that has some crunch to it.

Hello,

He doesn't look bad at all, maybe a bit on the thinner side, but doesn't exhibit any bone issues or appear ill. I think that it shouldn't be too hard to get some weight back on him with a bit of variety of foods. His colors look very nice also! :D

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
