Hey guys, im new to the forum, new to having a bearded dragon( 3 of them now) and i can really use some help. I just bought 2 adult 4 year old beardies and butter, my female, always seems to always be dehydrated. Ill give her a bath and shell be happy and head up and aware bt after an hour she seems to be wrinkly and doesnt move at all. But my biggest concern is toast who doesnt move very much exceot to jump to the floor, doesnt eat at all, and has these weird markings on him and what seems to me like mouth rot. Please help. Also im trying to include photos of toast but it wont allow me

Hi there, the mouth area doesn't look like anything concerning. You might apply a bit of raw unpasteurized honey [ a natural antimicrobial, you can get at a health food store or a beekeeper ] just in case it's slightly irritated .

Toast looks to be good sized so has been eating well, the marks MAY be old skin shed + poo stains. The first thing to do is give him daily lukewarm soaks and very gently use a toothbrush to see what comes off....probably a lot of that will come off. Some beardies develop yellow fungus if kept in unsanitary conditions so there's a slight chance of that but I really think it's just dirty shed + a bit of poo.

As for the lethargy, what exact brand + type of lights are you using ? Can you post pics of your set up as well as the lights ? Also full body shot of both of the dragons would be helpful.

I give all 3 of my beardies baths everyday, especially butter hecause she is shedding. Ive scrubbed them down with a toothbrush and that seems to be staying no matter how muh i scrub. I wouldnt want to put anymore pressure with the toothbrush. But ive also noticed that butter has a weird scab looking thing by her tail. I jut bought them and im trying to bond with them but toast wont eat and he keeps tunning away from me and bellyflopping onto the floor. Ive grown close to butter. She goes with me everywhere. Just seems she always so wrinkly. Ive attached pictures of enclosure lights and both butter and toast

They just look like they haven't been cleaned up in a long time, so as the shed comes off in uneven patches you get that effect. Keep an eye on Toast's stomach, see how it looks after a complete shed.

You say that the female is over 25" long ? That's huge, hardly any out there that size. Can you post pic of her next to a yardstick or measuring tape ? The male is quite chubby, so if he's not eating he's probably stressed from the move but his weight will stay stable because of his large size.

BTW, the coil bulb is not going to produce quite enough uvb in the long run, best to get along tube Reptisun 10.0 or Arcadia D3 12% bulb for uvb. Or you could go with a Megaray mercury vapor bulb for heat and uvb all in one.

Oh sorry, no. I dont know why it says 25 1/2. I meant to write 24 1/2 just to state that she is full grown and her growth hasnt been stunted at all so she is healthy. But i think ive found the problem. I bought some freezedried mealworms to feed my youngest mango who is only 12 invhes and realized they were too big for him and didnt want to ause impaction so i put them in the dish for butter and toast and they ate them as quickly as i put them in. I trued live meal works and they didnt even try to eat. Is it possible that the previous owner has gotten them so used to freezedried meal works that they wont eat anything else? I dont want to do that as the freezedried ones just dont have as muh nutrition and protein but if its the only thing they will eat, what can i do? No veggies, live worms or crickets freezedried or live. I dont know what i should do

Oh thank you so much. Theyre absolutely gorgeous. Btw im getting a megaray for both my tanks today and one of butters weird stomach marks started shedding off foday. But i want to meet the original owner so bad because he took such great care of them both. They literally go in the tank together and never fight, no dominance issues. Nothing at all. They even eat together and lay on the same basking spot side by side. But the person who sold them to me that owned them for a little over a year, they were completely incompetent. They were absolutely disgustig and covered in their own poop and never took them out.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
