Is my bearded dragon too small for his age?

So my bearded dragon was supposedly 8 months when I bought him off craigslist. He was 10 1/4" when i first got him.
He is now 15 months old, and is 16" exactly

He just woke up from a three month long brumation. Is that why he is so small?

He looks nice and plump Some grow faster than others , he still has time to grow

I was really worried about it because everyone else's beardies seem so big compared to my little guy :shock: This forum has really done a lot to ease my worries about my beardie though! <3 Thank you!!

My 2yr old topped out at 16.5", my 10mo old is 20", and my 4mo old is 14" already.
It's very dependent on their upbringing and the husbandry, in addition to genetics. The fact he grew nearly 6" in that time means he still plans to grow.

The original owner may have not fed him enough or given proper lighting but based on his growth it appears you remedied that

He may never get gator sized :wink: but 16" isn't puny, just on the small end
