Is music stressful for my Beardie?

I've been reading a bunch of articles on this forum and have found them to be very useful but i have noticed stress lines on my beardie and was wondering if this could be caused by the music i have constantly playing in my room. I listen to rock music but i usually dont blast it. I want to give my beardie the best home i can and im new to the reptile world of pets.

My beardie, Rocky, doesn't like it when the kids have the music/tv on too loud in the basement, which is below where his tank is. He will run to the side of his tank and bang his chin on the glass. Once the music is turned down, he stops. I think it definitely agitates him.

Im a little worried about this aswell, My beardie is in the living room of our house and my mother is holding a new years party tonight, from recent years they have always had loud music and gotten drunk, will this be bad for him?

Take him OUT of the living room and into your bedroom for safety sake. Just so someone doesn't get drunk and decide to take him out.

So if she just basks all day and looks at my speakers funny sometime between songs she should be ok right? She hasnt really shown any odd behavior.

Music doesn't seem to bother my reptiles. I play bass guitar and turn it up loud enough to rattle all the windows in the house.

Animals don't like loud music, some are even terrified by sudden loud noises. A constant stream of music would be pretty stressful for any animal where as occasional would be tolerated.

If this is true can i get him used to the music that i listen to by exposing him to a little more each day? Or would this still be stressful?

My animals must be use to it :)
But I do agree with AHBD, most animals dont like loud noises.

One of my cats likes to lay right in front of the bass amp and roll around on the floor. She likes the vibration. I also crank up some of the most brutal metal out there. No problems whatsoever, at my house.

I haven't noticed that my beardie has any problem with music or other noises. I can even talk a blue streak at my husband while I'm cuddling him at bedtime and it doesn't seem to bother him -- he still goes to sleep as long as the light level in the room is low enough. However, when we took him to my father-in-law's place several years ago, I noticed that sudden noises would startle him while we were there, even if they weren't particularly loud ones. So my guess is that he's gotten used to what he hears when he's in his familiar surroundings at home and learned that it doesn't mean something bad is going to happen to him, but not so much when he's in unfamiliar surroundings with unfamiliar sounds.

Maybe they're not too different from us humans -- some have an ear for music and some don't? :?

Habituated to their surroundings. Makes perfect sense...
Most of my reptiles can sleep even when I'm playing gutair or listening to music. They are not in the same room, so I'm not worried it will damage their hearing. The cats I do worry about sometimes, but I don't have to turn the bass amp up so loud I can't talk loudly over it. Bass wavelengths are so long that they penetrate everything and make them rattle even when its not excessively loud.

My lizards like it calm and quite, but they also seem to like watching tv , especially wildlife programs and some movies and daily shows.

If the music is not loud, I think it will be OK.

I play music in the living room where my dragon is pretty regularly and haven't seen it cause him any distress. He usually sleeps through it soundly.

Never had a dragon problem with music, as long as it's not excessively loud. Music itself is not going to bother anyone (no matter what is playing), just the volume... I play everything from Chopin to Sabbath and whatever may be in between... My snake, however, seems to actually enjoy it! He is generally in his hide most days, but when the violin comes out for practice, he comes out to investigate every single time. I think he likes the vibrations... So who knows? All animals have their own tastes... If the loud noises are bothering you, chances are your dragon isn't too happy, either.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
