I'm think about getting a Juvenile and was wondering, in the mornings, is it nescessary to have the light on for an hour before they have food? I read somewhere that it was, but haven't found any other mention of it since.
Thanks :D

Yeah your supposed to have it on about 1-2 hours before feeding so they can warm up and feed them no later than 2 hours before lights out. it helps with digestion. I work early so its a bit of a nightmare waiting till i come home before feeding mine, feel sorry for the little guy as he seems hungry so i usually give him a few be4 i leave for work and he digests them ok (BM regular).

Seconded, it just wait in the morning till they have basked, sometime they eat as soon as they get up
just make sure they bask before eating , they like to wake up a little first

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
