In one day? So I feed my dragon 3x a day. Nothing but phoenix worms although today I ran out (awaiting 600 more in the mail) but for now I had to give him other stuff. So he had 10 phoenix worms this morning, 5 phoenix worms for a snack with one or two buffet pellets & one mealworm (I know I know..) & 7 calcium dosed crickets tonight. As I said usually I just give em 10 phoenix worms per feeding (30 a day).

It's fine to feed a variety of feeders daily (you know the concern on the mealworms.) I noticed you said you usually give 30 phoenix worms 3 times a day, is that all your beardie wants to eat? If not, a juvenille should be offered all he wants to eat each time.

It all adds up to 30 phoenix worms a day.
Sometimes I will offer a few more if I see that he is still hungry but mostly yes, I'll give him 10 each serving. (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Are you implying I should offer more? I just worry of overfeeding. He tends to be full up after each serving anyways which is how I came to 10 but yeah..

It's totally fine to give a variety in one day, and probably good, a varied diet is always a good idea. Mine get crickets and phoenix worms daily, and sometimes other things.

I dunno the size of the worms and your dragon, but 30 doesn't seem like THAT many. Phoenix worms can be left in the viv, so you could just give him a load of them and let him eat however much he wants when he wants. Mine have a bowl of worms and salad all day, if there are worms left at the end of the day I'll remove them and chuck the salad so i can put in fresh salad in the morning, or if there's just one or two left I'll stick them in my compost heap or flush them down the toilet. I'd rather give him more food than he needs than worry about underfeeding.

Actually, 30 phoenix worms a day is a very small amount and those worms are very small. Their appetites can fluctuate daily so he could want only 30 one day but the next day he may be hungrier and want 30 at one meal so best to let them be the judge as to how many they want rather than cutting them off at a certain amount. A juvenile won't over eat and need LOTS of protein daily to help develop strong bones, etc. I would suggest that you start offering all the feeders (not mealworms) that he can eat 3 times day in a 10 to 15 minute time frame each time as well as all the daily staple greens he wants.

How old is your beardie or what length and wt is he? I looked at your video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyexdGBP-40 and I can't say for sure but from what I can see, he looks a little on the thin side especially at the base of his tail.

Baby is coming up to 5 months old and she will eat 50-100 small P worms twice a day. Baby would dance glass like mad if I only fed her as much as you do. as long as your Dragon doesn't want any more thats fine.

Well he tends to only eat 10 anyways as I said per serving which is how I came up to offering ten to begin with but as I said I do offer more until he steps away but again, it all usually comes up to 10. I will offer a lot more though from now on.

This is exactly what I do. I leave a dish full of Phoenix worms in the tank with Gleeok all day. He has salad that he picks at occasionally which is also available to him all day as well. I remove the remaining worms and salad two hours prior to the end of his daylight cycle. Since I get to work from home I will offer him crickets anywhere from 2-3 times a day.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
