is it normal?? what is normal??

he has been sleeping for quite some time now only 2-3 times getting up for short times....periotically peekin to see if he is dead...ive never delt with the brumation before....i have warmed it up and the lights back to bout 12on 12 off has been like that for 3 days ....he is awake but not eating or moving... he has a place thats darker if he really wanted to go back to bed but he;s not....it does look like he is triing to stay out of light thou....does it take a while for him to wake up and get back into the swing of things??

For starters you need to tell us exactly what his set up is, how old he is, what brand of light you have, and tank size. You also should read the article about brumation on this website. Tell us more.

i dont know how old he is i got him /saved him from a friend .. im 90% sure it is adult the aquarium is 250 gallons the temp in the basking ranges from 95-110 the lights are for salt water aquarium there is 2 of these http://www.fishsupply.com/pc67265.html and 2 of these http://www.current-usa.com/sunpaq.html the 10,000k actinic daylight ones.... i bought a 150watt bask light but broke it before he even used it he was already going into brumation ,,and since comming out has not even attempted to go under the crap heat lamp i got temp... i have under tank heater on one side...i dunno what else...i read that article yes and i hope he's just a slow riser

You need to get those lights changed asap, I really don't know alot about them and i hope some one else will post up if thats whats hurting your little guy or not. Look into getting Reptisun 10.0 tube lights, they are the best lighting for UVB unless you go for merc vapor blubs. My advice is to turn off the aquarium lights and use your heating lights only. I would not be surprized if he dosn't improve just from that.

How long has it been since he ate or pooped?
What kind of thermometer do you measure the temps with, hopefully one with a probe so i measures the temps correctly. If not the basking temps can be too high with out you knowing.

He has been under those lights for quite Some time... He got up and pooped during his sleep and has not ingested anything since... If the basking area was to hot he would gape would he not??

The fish light are great for making a aquarium look pretty but produce no UVB, you need the reptisun 10.0 ASAP. Lack of energy and low appetite are often caused by improper lighting.
You don't need a fancy bulb for heat, regular flood lights work just as well as over priced reptile bulbs. You do need a good probe thermometer to check temps with though. If the temps are way high, the dragon won't bask at all.

Sounds like it could be a number of problems but id listen to the people above. Get your enclosure up to par. Ive seen lights cause many sad problems
You can use a regular bulb for the heat lamp no need for expensive bulbs. As long as the temps are between 100 and 110. Its the UVB thats important and as everyone said repti sun 10.0 are the only trusted florescents on the market so far. Keep him hydrated ! give him baths and drinks
I would make this switch immediately and if you dont see a difference, come back.
