Is what bad? Her length for age? Not at all. All dragons grow at different individual rates. I would honestly say by the image though, she could use more weight but, then again it may just be the image. Do you have a regular digital camera or just the webcam (which I think you took the pictures with?)

are you sure she's 9 months?
My beardie is also nine months and he's 17 inches. But every beardie is different.

yes sorry i only have a webam
and she does seem a little underweight but i think i feed her properly she gets 15 crickets a day and veggies every day with water
and yes im positive shes 9 months thats the time ive had her and she was only a couple of weeks

I have dragons that are just genetically smaller. As long as her weight suits her length she is fine. The pic doesn't show her hip bones poking out or her eyes sunken in. Those are signs of an underweight dragon. You can add some more variety to her insect selection to add fat such as waxworms and superworms. But a little goes a long way.

Her live feeder count should be between 50 and 100 crickets a day, at 9 months old you should still be letting her eat as much as she wants in a 10 to 15 minute period twice a day. But no 12" at 9 months old isn't bad, every dragon will grow at it's own rate though diet and genetics do play a big roll in growth rate and final adult size.

By 9 months you should be pushing the greens and weaning them off the protein. According to my vet feeding that many crickets will give them long term kidney damage . I feed my dragons at that age around 7 to 10 supers or about 30 crickets about three times a week. High protein is for growing babies until their rapid growth period slows down. All my dragons love their greens and attack them every morning like I am feeding insects.

If she wasn't fed properly while growing before you got her, she could quite possibly need to catch up and grow to a more normal size and could with some extra protein. I don't think 9 months is early enough for some dragons to get lower amounts of bugs if they still have an appetite for more. I honestly don't think 15 crickets per day is enough, unless she stops eating them by herself and does't want any more. Females naturally eat more in order to build up their fat stores for brumation and breeding the following season, so she should have more interest in live food and be eating at least 30 to 50 crickets or more per feeding if she wants them. Have you tried seeing how many she will eat if you let her? I agree dragons should hit their greens like crazy, but most dragons will want more food during growth periods and less food during slowed growth. They are all different with different needs and different metabolisms, so there isn't a specific amount of anything to go by. The only time you know they are getting too much food is when they're overweight and have beardie boobs hanging out under their arms. I have huge females like this and they might only eat 5 supers per week or maybe 2 dubia... and I bet they don't even need that.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
