SO I have had Reps my whole life and never bought a bearded D anyway I went and got one about 2 days ago (about 5 inches long) got it home and put him in his habitat and all seems well he is eating daily(had 2 poops they looked nice and healthy) active but I am wondering about is are they usualy so tame at that age the first day I put my hand in just to get him start being used to my hand and he popped on wrapped around my thumb and fell asleep this is 2 days in a rox he ..also hunts the crickets i put 2 in at night incase he wants a snack and wel both nights i have sat and watched him and he literaly stalks them like a cat .. is that norman]l because the vids i watched on youtube they all seem to gobble the food then sit there and wait for the rest of them to come to them?!?!?! just wondering as my little guy/girl seems to be the ADHD bearded D ... anyway thanks and hoepfully my lil one will grow up and stay just as weird

Congrats on the new baby!! :D

All beardies are different, they have different colours, patterns (Did you know a beardies pattern is like a human fingerprint, there isn't 2 that are the same) and personalities.

Your little one seems the active, attentive, I'm not scared of anything type. Which is great!! Those types usually don't have any problems with eating new foods and adding new things to their vivarium's (Tanks). One thing you will have to look out for with your little one is what we owners like to call the "Teenager Stage". Around 5-6 months of age, approx 9-10 inches long your beardie will go through this stage. The more lively ones (like yours) might go off food, try to bite, not want to get picked up, get stressed. I highly doubt it will be all of those things but one or two might show up.

Currently my baby Kadin is in that stage and we're doing the no crickets/don't pick me up thing :p My advice to you if this happens, DON'T let him/her get away with it!! If he/she bites put on gloves and handle anyway, runs away chase her down and pick her up anyway. Any bad habits picked up during this time will continue for life if you don't stop it.

Sounds normal. They are super friendly. Mine stalks her foods sometimes, but she did it more when she was little. They are such strange reptiles. I havent seen any others like them.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
