Hi,

I didn’t see anything alarming in the picture. What’s he doing/not doing? Is his beard constantly black? Does he react to stimulus like being held?

Hello! thank you for replying, but Smaug isnt as active anymore since we moved, he recently started to poop and eat again, but he looks so sunken. He does have a constant black beard time to time. He eats his crickets but he hasnt eaten much of his veggies. His lights are 75 wts, uvb is 10.0, his substrate rn is paper towels because im washing his carpet.

I would definitely bring a fecal sample to the vet. Change in eating could mean parasites which are treatable pretty cheap. Better to check early because it is not a good situation if you wait. Fecal is cheap like $40 or less. He looks a little dehydrated. When you put him in a lukewarm soak will he drink a bit?

He usually doesnt drink water but I always bathe and spray him with water. and he does tend to drink some drops! I just dont know why he doesnt drink. Luckily He pooped today and saved his poop.
Im just really worried, he hasnt done this before and Ive only had him since June...

The sunken look could be a little dehydration. As for not eating veg, that seems to be a universal issue. Still not sure how I’m going to get mine eating his on a regular basis. A fecal test as already suggested might not be a bad thing, but it could also be he hasn’t adjusted after the move. Based on just what I’ve seen of pics & descriptions, I don’t think there’s an emergency, though black bearding constantly definitely means distress, so hopefully someone with more experience can chime in.

Hello,

Overall he doesn't look bad at all, he is quite colorful. As suggested, you could get a fecal done
on him to be sure he doesn't have worms or parasites since his appetite isn't real good.
The UVB light, since it is a 10, is it the Reptisun 10 long tube bulb or a compact/coil light?
How close is it to him?
What are the temperatures in the tank for him & how large is his tank?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
