is GE 100% silicone 1 safe for buildind a viv?

Im putting together a viv for my beardie and ive been looking for a good adhesive to use on the plexiglass so im wondering if the GE window/door/attic/basement 100% silicone 1 is ok to use. If not do you know which is?

Does it say anti-mildew anywhere on the package? If not, it will be fine to use.

It says weatherproof and waterproof. Nothing about mildew.

Yes if it is the tube with blue on it its good to go. Its the Kitchen and Bath stuff that you do not want. I have used to window and door in many fish tanks and not a problem yet

Whats the deal with the bathroom anti-mildew silicone? Why is it no good?

Is the GE stuff just as good with glass as it is with plexi?

I"m building a sliding door enclosure with all glass and no frame so i need a silicone that is going to be really strong and clear.

The anti-mildew silicone has gotten a bad wrap from the aquarium and amphibian crowd. Apparently whatever chemicals they use leach into the water and can make sensitive animals sick. Does it really matter in a dry desert style enclosure? I couldn't tell you...however with pets you want to use the safest option possible, and the standard silicone is that option.
