Just to make it clear , i didnt buy him from a pet store but a specific reptile shop with an experienced reptile owner for many years :( who still saying its ok for them to live together . I have today picked up another vivarium although its too small to house for long it was quick fix untill pay day. The dragons are both 4-5 months old ( about 11 inches from nose to tip or 5 inches from nose to vent) I did research but the web is just a mine field of information so yes i trusted the reptile shop owner for his final thoughts on the matter. They have already sorted a 'pecking' order, the female is infact boss with the male submissing to her, Just need to get the temp right and he will be moving into his temp home.

This person needs a serious talking to. Was browsing waterfall builds and found this. His explanation for cohabitation is... amazing -_-

I did try & inform this fellow after this post. After he checked my Youtube (CLICK ME!) Channel, he started in on me, that my enclosures were too small, lol - then he blocked me - - -

Absolutely fantastic thread! Thank you so much for this. I feel that this will enlighten many of the new bearded dragon owners who were misinformed by the pet store. Very informative.

Thank you for the amazing thread! The pictures really paint the true picture as to why these creatures should not be housed together, I keep telling people over and over that they are solitary creatures and don't feel emotions like we do but I do believe you said it better than anyone else can. :D

Great new update post, After learning everything that I have nothing is housed together everyone has their own 5 foot viv or a 40gb no mistakes here.

Great updated pictures Germ... I hope more people will take alook at these photos and think twice about housing them together.

Great post Germain, very very gross pics, makes me cringe to look at BUT very very much needed.
If these arent an eye opener, NOTHING will be.

This is an awesome post and I wish more new owners would read it. I notice lately that there seems to be alot of new owners inquiring about co-habitation but fail to read this. I have never and would never keep 2 dragons together no matter the sex. I have 2 males that share my DIVIDED 125g tank ( seperated by very strong cardboard) and they cannot see eachother but they do sense eachother. When Jax was awake ( he is brumating on and off) Tigger my 7month old will spend the whole day arm slapping, head bobbing and black bearding. I am currently renovating a huge tv armoire to make 2 enclosures for them as to alleviate stress.

I just dont get why people dont read this before jumping into keeping 2 or more together. It would be cheaper to have seperate vivs then multiple vet visits for injuries it seems. This is my opinion though....:D

This post is what made me change my mind. I had planned to get two females so that they could live together. After reading the first 3 pages of this thread, I changed my mind, and decided on just one baby. I am thankful this thread is here to show what happens. I just wish more people would take heed.

I have two females that I recently got at the same time. They're cousins. I thought it would be ok to let them both be out in the living room at the same time.... but one of them started stomping and bobbing and I knew I had to separate right away, and sure enough she tried to attack the other. But I got there before anything actually happened. Lesson learned.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
