Is a 25" tall tank too high for a bearded enclosure?

Hi all, new guy here. My daughter's gargoyle gecko died and she wants to get a bearded dragon. She had a tall Exo-Terra tall enclosure for the gecko and that shape and size won't work for the bearded dragon. I met someone who is willing to trade her Exo-Terra for a 48" wide, 25" tall and 13" deep tank. From what I have read, tall tanks are no good for beardies because they need to be able to climb to get close to their basking lights. Is a 25" high tank too tall?

Enough floor space is more important for a bearded dragon than vertical height, but another thing you might want to consider is if the tank opens from the top, will you be able to reach down into it and get the beardie out when you need to if he's at the bottom? I have a tank that's about 23 inches high and I have trouble reaching our beardie if he's at the bottom of the tank in one of the far corners. But if it opens from the side so that that's not an issue, you would still need to be able to set something up to make sure that the bearded dragon can get to a basking area that is close enough to the heat and UV lamps so that he can get warm enough and make enough Vitamin D (as you have already realized). I'd say it's less than ideal, a little too tall and a little too narrow, but maybe not completely impossible :|

It's not too tall but it is too narrow. It should be at least as wide as the dragon is long (avg 18") though wider is better. Floor space is #1 important but high is also valuable. My encclosure is 48" tall and there is equipment available to make a successful tall cage (stronger lights further away are ok). Dragons can be good climbers when they have practice.
