Irwin's new enclosure!

I went to Petsmart today with Irwin, who was such a celebrity - a bunch of people stopped me to ask questions about him and pet him and stuff, it was so fun! I was there to get supplies for the new gecko I'm gonna get in a couple weeks, but also to get some new items for a complete feng shui of Irwin's enclosure.

I found an awesome hiding rock that looks so Australian and matches his tank background perfectly! It was also a pleasant surprise to find some brown reptile carpet (I'd been reluctant to get carpet in the past because the green wouldn't match the background very well).

It was Irwin's bedtime by the time I'd set everything up, so I have to wait 'til tomorrow to see how he likes it.

Oddly enough, after looking at tank backgrounds at all of the major chains, I found this background at a little privately-owned local pet shop!

I just woke up and went to check on Irwin. He usually gets up earlier than his lights, but today he was sleeping in - and he's already loving his new hiding cave. SO CUTE!!!! :lol:
