Introducing Reptiworms! And other eating questions

So I got a baby bearded feeder variety package. It came with all sorts of goodies, the main ones I wanted were the Reptiworms, butterworms, roaches and crickets. It has small superworms which I'm going to take to work and give to a coworker for her reptiles ?.

Nonetheless, every feeding my little fatty Captian Crawlie jumps off his/her perch and comes to the front of the tank and either runs back and forth when he sees us (somehow Captian knows) or does the head bob, head tilt and side eye.

I decided to give roaches for breakfast, which immediately gulped down. 7 in a row. So I tossed in 5 small crickets down they went. Captain runs back up and stares at me with the head bob of *uhm more?" So I decided to get out three Reptiworms - well, Captian leaps on those. Chews, and spits it out. Looks at me like I've offered fake food. Eye balls the other bouncing worms, licks them at then glares at me.

By then I had put Captains veg salad in so of course Captain leaps on that and starts eating with vigor. I don't know the age of Captain, however we love veggies. How can I get Captain to like Reptiworms? I know they are a balanced meal...

I'll go take a picture so maybe you can tell me how old you think Captain is? Sorry for all the details in the story ?

Ty! We figured the name was male/female so it worked!
I will try the salad trick, but Captain certainly gave me the evil eye for them plain!

Captian is like, "if you put those fake worms in my salad. i don't know what i would do." XD *gives you the evil look.* thats funny!

Captain Crawlie is an adorable little sucker, huh? That's awesome he eats his veg, he'll be getting a nice balanced diet even if he doesn't eat the reptiworms! I agree with putting them on his salad. They're like wriggly little croutons! :lol:

Looks like he's doing a good job growing, too. Make sure you take plenty of pictures, cuz the Cap is going to shoot up like a rocket!

I was amazed myself that he eats his veg so willingly, he will even allow us to hand feed him veg. Not insects, he wants to hunt. Crunchy croutons enh? lol I'm so going to gag on my next salad ?.

Yes I am quite surprised by how fast the growth has happened. We got him from those tiny tiny tanks at a pet store, barely any adequate heat or UVB. I have him in a temporary 10gal with heat, and UVB.
The store has a sale coming up $1 per gallon for reptile tanks, so I'm going to upgrade to either a 40gal or 60.
I'm also going to pick up another 10gal, so I can house crickets and roaches. (I had planned to turn his old tank into a cricket keeper, but why not keep both? It'll only be $10)
