I finally got my camera to work! This is probably going to have A LOT of pictures on it, but it's been while since an update. Here they are:
I'll start with Kaira and how big she's gotten!
a8b6c1b5.jpg

This one is from the first day we got her...she immediately took a liking to that thing.
7c62119e.jpg

She was still loving it, it was her favorite spot, as you can see she's pretty much hugging it while she sleeps and did all night lol. We had to take it out of her tank though...she misses it.

Her hammock! Notice the probe next to her and then look at the more recent picture.
6654f838.jpg

She's going to grow out of her now hammock*s* soon.

Another size comparison.

Isn't she cute? It looks like she has a bit of a beardie grin in this one! :love5:
6bc0013d.jpg

"Hmm, whatcha doing?" lol
7233d76d.jpg

This one is sooo cute and probably one of my favorites. She was just looking at me like "What are you looking at?". I think she was trying to help with the shedding of her tail by sitting in this position, but she was cracking me up lol and helping hold herself up with her probe cord.
I have tons more of her, but I don't want to take up too much space...Taz's new pics will be on the next post, along with an update on them both. :D

Ok here's Taz...there's a lot for him too!
dde46147.jpg

He's looking up at me, waiting for more Phoenix worms lol.
bb118b3d.jpg

I think I'm getting the beardie death glare in this one lol...he's not big on pictures!
5fc4d75c.jpg

His colors are developing so nicely and unique. I think he's going to have the red/orange and dark side bars.
ff347e89.jpg

Brings a whole new meaning to "bearded" dragons lol. Poor baby was trying to puff out his beard to get the annoying shed off. He still looks adorable :D
ae489a50.jpg

Another one of him shedding...it was cool because he was just about pink! I don't know how well you can see it in the pictures.
c2117c0c.jpg

I just don't see how they can sleep in such odd positions. He has his face pressed against the glass lol.
e595dc92.jpg

I found him under his paper towels like this yesterday morning. I think he's telling me to go away and let him sleep in lol.
Well, there are my babies. I love them!
Ok...update. I had their fecals checked again today and things have flip-flopped. Kaira's coccidia counts are down (thank goodness), but Taz has just about as many as Kaira did. So now he's got to be on medication and I need to get a pro-biotic from him. Poor babies. I feel so bad. I've been doing everything right, constant cleanings, good feeders, correct set-up, but they just can't seem to get rid of the parasites (well I just found out about Taz). I just hope that the meds don't affect Taz in a negative way. He won't be started on the Albon for a few days since he's gained weight so the vet needs to recalculate his dosage. I'm worried about my babies. They both eat really well (cross my fingers it stays that way), are growing, and active. I just want them to be healthy. Looks like we have a little bit more of a rollercoaster ride to go through.

Wow, look at them. They both look great. You can really see some nice blue side bars on the recent one of Kaira in your hand. And Taz definitely looks PINK in that one picture. I've never seen that on a dragon. What a beautiful couple you have there.

I'm sorry about the coccidia. I'm glad Kaira is better but poor Taz. That just sucks. Excuse my language but you don't deserve to have to go through this again. Good luck. I'm sure they'll do great under your care and they certainly look great and healthy. It's a good thing they're eating so well. I think that has to be a good sign.

Thanks for the update and for the great pictures.

Hello Abi,

GREAT shots of both Kaira & Taz. They both look very good! They have grown alot, too & they both look very happy in their homes.
I love the sleeping shot of Kaira, too, so cute. Taz looks so curious looking up at you. :D

Thank you! Kaira loved that thing, I felt so bad when we "took it away". Taz is showing off his red in those pics, he really is that red though...I can't wait to see how they both look when they get older. LG is showing beautiful color! I always check for new videos/pics. Yeah, the parasites have been a pain, but they are both doing well despite them. I hope they get rid of them soon...I hate to know my babies aren't feeling their best :( .

Thanks! Kaira is showing those blue sidebars of hers in that pic. LOL, Taz looked so funny when he was "pink"...he's shedding again and I hope I get to see the pink again.
I have been so worried that they are going to lose their appetites while on the meds, but so far so good (knock on wood). They've been keeping us busy with cleanings, baths, and everything else, but they are worth it :D . How's Tank doing? I saw some of his recent pics, he looks great!

Thank you! I'm glad to hear they look good and happy. I've been worried they've been getting bored with the little "furniture" they can have in their tanks. Their other hammocks should be here soon...that'll be 3 for both of them. Thank goodness for those, they make cleaning a little easier.
I wish Kaira could have kept that log thing, but it was a bit porous so we didn't want to risk it. Plus, she was getting a bit heavy for it lol. Taz is a curious little thing. He's actually warmed up quite a bit lately and doesn't really fit his nickname, "Taz the Spaz". :D

You know I don't mind! How's the little guy doing? Did you get him to a vet? Sorry, I haven't been too up-to-date on here, a lot has been going on. Let me know how Boomerang is doing.

I'll add some more pics when I can...my camera has been full and I haven't taken the time to "clean it up".
Anyways, thank you for the compliments on our babies! :D

thanx abi... i will just copy and paste what i wrote about him on my own thread...

hey... as some of you may or may not know... boomerang was/is having some eating problems... he went from eating normal to eating nothing to eating only babyfood to eating nothing to eating pheonix worms to eating nothing to eating babyfood and back to eating nothing.... well that has been going on since i got him (july 29)

now that you are caught up... he wasn't eating anything for about 2 weeks and i was really worried but i thought it was because he was in the process of a full body shed but appearantly not because he finished his shed about a week ago...

i took him to the "vet" a couple days ago and they basically told me things i already knew: that he has calcuim deficiancy

i already knew he had calcium deficiancy because since he wouldnt eat for me to dust his food

so i thought about what she said and how i could fix the problem and i came up with a solution

i bought some calcium spray that you are supposed to spray on his veggies but since he doesnt eat them either i just put it in an eyedropper and give it to him like that... hopefully he gets his calcium up enough so that he will start eating again!!! **cross fingers**

It's not a problem :D
Ok, so the vet is pretty much saying that he's in the early stages of MBD? I wouldn't recommend feeding PWs and giving him the calcium...they can overdose on it too. You have to find the right balance. For most babies, every other day, one meal a day, dusted with calcium is enough...I know Boomerang is tiny, so the calcium needs to be given in the right amounts (for any dragon...too little causes MBD, too much can cause problems too, like MBD). I don't know how to do the liquid calcium, but I don't know that you should be giving him the kind you have with an eyedropper. Send Tracie a PM or post something in the "Health" section. I just don't know anything about liquid calcium. Did you get your UVB? I'd make that a priority. I know you said it was too cold there to take him outside, but he needs the UVB rays. Don't take him outside if it's still cold there, though. I think if you get him a good UVB (ReptiSun 10.0 and there's a good Mercury bulb, but I don't know what it's called and I don't think it'd work for your cage) I think that it could "reverse" some of this.
Sorry I can't help more. Please get the dosage/directions on how to do the calcium and get the ReptiSun 10.0. Let me know what you hear and keep me updated.

I just have a little update. I took Kaira and Taz to the vet today to check their counts...good news and bad news. Kaira's coccidia count is way down. My vet saw 1 or 2 on the whole slide :blob5: . Taz's count is a lot better too, not as good, but he's getting there, plus he hasn't been on the Albon as long. Bad news, Taz has pinworms too. I don't know if it's from stress of the meds and coccidia or bad crickets. We have to get that taken care of now, too. Luckily, they are easier to treat than coccidia. Poor guy though, I hate having him on so many meds.
They're both still gaining weight and eating well (knock on wood). Kaira weighed in at 183 grams (maybe a few more) at the vet's office (a little more at home, after eating) and is just over 14 1/2" long. Taz was 83 grams (a few more after eating) and 12 1/2" long.
Kaira will be 5 months old this week, and after doing a bit of calculating, I realized I had made a mistake about Taz's age   ...one of those moments lol. He hatched on June 25th, making him just over 3 months old....I thought he was closer to 4 :? . Which means I got him when he was about 6 weeks old  . I think he's got some German Giant in him, too.
I'm going to try to post some pics later.

Wow your kids are getting huge. I still can't believe how much bigger Kaira is than Tank. But that's okay. Each dragon is different and Tank is gaining weight like crazy lately. I'm glad they are doing better. Bummer about the pinworms but hopefully this will all be behind you soon. It makes me almost glad I didn't bring Tank to the vet. I almost don't want to know if he has parasites or anything as long as he seem healthy to me. I know that's the wrong attitude but I figure as long as he's eating well, and acting normal and growing fine then why ask for trouble. LOL I guess if I had another beardie it would be different because I would want to make sure that each was healthy before introducing them to each other. But Tank is alone so no worries.

I look forward to pics of your two cuties. I always enjoy reading about them and seeing their pics.

Edit: I thought of you today. I finally ordered silkworms. Should be here next week. I can't wait to try them. I've recently tried Superworms with Tank and he loves them but I know they can't eat too many of them. And I ordered roaches and am going to start a colony so NO MORE CRICKETS. Yea!! I can't wait.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
