Introducing my baby beardie to my adult beardie, advice???

I have Albert my 3 year old beardie since last nov. I recently bought baby Alex. I would like to introduce them to one another. How should i go about doing this? They both have seperate tanks. Albert is male. Alex's sex is unknown since he/she is so young. Any advice would help. Thank you!!!!

Hi there....I know you mean well + are thinking that they can get along like dogs + puppies or cats + kittens but it would be best not to introduce them at all. A large dragon often does not differentiate a baby dragon from a prey item and will not hesitate to eat it, or bite it hard enough to kill. Although beardies seem sweet + docile, they can maim+ kill other beardies. It may not happen in every case but there's a high enough probability, and is like playing Russian roulette. Enjoy them separately !

I completely agree, it's too much of a risk and things can happen VERY quickly.

DON'T DO IT...I don't know what others will say but I introduced my 2 year old male to a little female baby beardie who was only 6 -8 weeks old back in October. He didn't hesitate to stick his tongue out and take her in his mouth to eat her. He killed the poor little thing instantly and bit me hard when I removed her from his mouth. I have since learned the males (and females for that matter) will eat the young. I am glad you had the sense to ask that I was lacking. Live and learn. Additionally, if your baby is male, the beardies should never meet as they could and most likely would fight and it will not end nicely. Males and females can only be together under close observation when breeding. Occasionally, I have heard of females being housed together but it is cautioned against as well. Enjoy them both but not together.

dont do it cause it can kill the baby beardie the adult can kill it but if had gotten them both as babys then you could put it in togather and if they start fighting however you have to separate them the try it different.
