Introducing.... "Beverly"

Rescued this guy today. Was "loved by previous owner" except:
- He's slightly underweight, my guess is because they only gave him one super worm a day
- He had nothing on the bottom of his cage except plastic (& his own feces and rotting lettuce)
- They "forgot" to turn his light back on this morning... I got there at 12:30 pm
- They hadn't cleaned up his runny feces since the day before.. and there was a lot in there
- Adult 2.5 years old and they didn't even know she was a he!

I'm glad I rescued him. I am going to give him a great home. Two hour drive to get him.. tiring but worth it.

I had a baby named Romeo.. Long story short the pet store gave him to me too young, I didn't know buying at a pet store was such a huge risk, he wasn't eating and probably had parasites and or was in shock. I grew attached to him in the short week and was devastated to give him back.. but I like my new pal.

He's nameless because on Monday I'm going to let my middle schoolers give me suggestions and then they'll vote on his name. Right now he's just Buddy.

I also drove 4 hours round trip to get him! My students, brother, and friends all thought I was nuts... but he was so worth it! I definitely think he is already much happier, healthier, and is developing a healthy belly. :love5:

I do, too! I love how it gets bright and vibrant when he's happy.
