So as most of you know I was having problems with my beardie so I finally caved in and went o the vet. He said all Husbandry looks good but she hasn't pooped yet so he gave her an injection of some liquids to see if that helps. She wasn't impacted but had a full stomach. He also said that it is indeed probably a female and he said she was around a year old???? I bought her in April and she is 15 or 16 inches now could this be true?I got her she was around 5 inches. He also said they really don't brumate because their natural climate does not change much?? I am getting confused one beneficial thing I puled from the visit was my nighttime temperatures were too low. It often gets very low 70s maybe high 60s. So when we got home she went on her log and started basking. She didnt want to eat but she could have been stressed. Her also gave me some critical care to give her. Overall a confusing vet appointment.

this vet sounds a bit dodgy, alot of beardies brumate,
If he is giving you this kind of advice i would change vets...
Night time temps should be around 75 no lower than 60
Did he elaborate on the full stomach?
poo? eggs? what....
Did he explain this too you at all?

Yea its poo probably from when she ate the superworms earlier this week but never fully digested? I was thinking the same about him and I wish it wasnt true because I really would like to know her age because there could be an easy answer. I am at work now but my sister told me she is still up soo thats good. I am going to work on the nighttime temps. I just dont think the $250 I paid was all that worth it. He did inject her with some liquid maybe she was dehydrated? sucks having all these questions still. I sat there and waited too because one of the other animals was sick.

I was just searching about the forum and saw a thread on dehydration. I read that they will often have wrinkled like skin if they are. Mine did have that I guess the 2 baths a week is not enough and might be an answer but I will see. Also would night temperatures that are too low cause him to act lethargic all day?

Im needing some questions answered about my female beardeddragon, I honestly have no idea on age , she was a recuse, as ive had a couple in my life an have experience. So 9 weeks in , she earing well pooping well getting comfortable, then approx 3-4 days ago the digging started. So I got a dig box set up in her 75 g tank. Well within 2 hours she dropped an egg. I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
