infected femoral pore?

i was holding sydney and i noticed 2 of his pores looked huge and irritated so i ran my finger over it, it broke open and some puss like stuff came out. i put neosporn on them and went shopping. when i came home they looked even bigger so i soaked him. when i put him on a towel to dry off what looked like a hard core came out with more puss from both of them. im not sure whats wrong hes been acting fine and he doesnt black beard or struggle when i put neosporn on them so i guess they dont hurt. any ideas?

no idea it was white and kind of waxy. sure looked like puss

Was the substance that came out hard & waxy, correct? If so, that is normal pheremone/hormonal waxy substances that can build up & will come out sometimes. The pore will eventually fill back in but wont be so raised.
Maybe just soak him in a bit of warm water to help with any discomfort, but he should be fine.

haha i sent a pm to as you were posting when it first broke open it was a white substance that looked like pus then the hard plug came out with more of the white stuff

Hello,

It may be irritated or slightly infected from being built up, etc. I think soaking him in warm daily baths & then applying some antibiotic ointment on the area for a few days to a week should clear it up just fine. The pore will begin to fill back up with the waxy substance & darken shortly, maybe a week or two. It wont stay open as it is now.

His pores are closed up now and dont look as red. Is this a normal thing? because his other pores look like they are going to do the same thing.

I have seen swollen femoral pores on my males. But, I have not had anything that I noticed come out of them.

I have had a couple of males in which the femoral pores had a hard waxy substance come out of it. Some males don't have built up waxy substance like other males for some reason.
