Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a beardie to be a little more active? Kaida isn't lethargic, but she really hangs out under the basking light a lot. My basking side is 102 and the cool side is about 83-85. She eats well and has regular BM. I provide a UV light and feed calcium with D3 supplement. Her growth rate is looking pretty good as well. Can't think of anything else pertinent at the moment but will check this thread later with more info if needed. I just want to see her play more and would love any suggestions I can get. Thanks.

Hi there,
Could you give us a little more detail about your enclosure?
What basking bulb are you using?
What UV bulb are you using? (please be specific as to brand)
Is it coil? Compact? or Strip?
How are you measuring your temperatures?
What is her diet?

Okay, she is in a 40 gallon breeder tank. She is about 11 1/2 inches long. My basking light is a 90 watt spotlight, not from a pet store, (okay?). Her uv is an ESU Reptile Super UV Daylight, it is a 24 inch strip, (it is time for a replacement next month, any suggestions?) Her temperatures are monitored with a digital probe thermometer. It is pretty new and i've heard fairly accurate. She gets greens every morning before i leave and she eats them well. Right now shee is on dandelion greens (from a yard that's never seen chemicals), and red leaf lettuce. I feed her crickets in the afternoon and in the evening. She is a good hunter and usually takes about a dozen or so. I give her more than that and let her take what she wants, then remove the leftovers. Kind of a pain but i don't know any other way, suggestions are very welcome. If you guys need any more info i would be glad to provide it. Oh yeah, thank you for your concern holly :) -matt

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
