In the quest of a better diet!

I feed my beardie a mix of roaches, locusts, crickets, phoenix worms. Want to try silkworms but EVERY online site is always sold out!!

I use these sites for feeders, cheaper then in the petshops and also different feeders. (would recommend getting some dubia roaches my beardie loves them)

Ha I wish I could handle them Im using some huge tweezer sorta things! But its a good way of doing things and it seems to be working, thanks

You'll get over that. hehe!! It took me about a year but now I can quite calmly pick up a locust and hand feed it to mine. Except the adults.... I cant touch those!! Now they are scary!!!

Don't be so sure... I've been working at pet stores and dealing with crickets and worms for over 6 years now and I will ONLY touch mealworms, nothing else. If a cricket jumps on me while I'm bagging them for a customer I scream! lol. We have egg carton and paper towel tubes in the tanks so I just pick those up and shake the crickets off them into the bags... and I gently use tongs on the superworms. And even tho I will touch the meal worms, I usually use a small cup to scoop them out and count them as they fall into the bags. so yeah... not a fan of bugs either!

But crickets are gross - I could never touch a cricket.... even picking them up with tongs totally freaks me out!!

yeah they are disgusting! I don't know about locust, we don't have them here in the states, but I'm pretty freaked out by most bugs but lightening beetles and lady bugs... lol
