In or Out??

My beardie climbs the glass of the tank as if he wants out (doesn't do it constantly), but when I take him out he sits for a few minutes but then makes his way back to his tank. The tank is 55l, temps are correct. I've had him since Nov.1 and about 2 weeks ago started taking him out daily for 15 to 20 min, so he'd get used to us. For the first 3 and half weeks his stress spots never disappeared so I thought maybe he was depressed we weren't taking him out cause he'd run like crazy from us. He doesn't run anymore but just seems to try to get back to his tank once out.

Any suggestions anyone? :?

Could it just be hungry? Mine goes nuts when I'm in the room and he's hungry.
