Importing Reptiles To Canada

Hi there,

Was just wondering what was involved in bringing a bearded dragon from the US to Canada? as far as any hidden fees/paperwork go? I did a search and came up with http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/...ni/amphe.shtml but wouldn't mind input from people that have done this in the past. Thanks a lot!

Hi Mark,
Importing and exporting can be a costly venture. I know Bloodbank dragons does it on a regular basis, but I dont know of any others that deff do.
When I checked into the costs, I decieded not to go thru it since it just wasnt worth the time effort or costs.
Hope this points you in the right direction.

I live near Vancouver, BC and I bought my beardie from Bellingham, WA. I had no problems bringing her back across the border (I drove) The only reptiles that may have issues are turtles and snakes.
