I do belive that animal cruelty is illigal... call your local police station or even local pet rescue orgs and see what you can do about getting the pet stores arm twisted. If they cant afford them then they shouldnt have gotten them.

and those pics are horrible! i'm glad your trying to do something about those poor animals. there should be a pet store inspector. keep us posted with updates..

Thank you~ Today is day three already and I still haven't heard from the AC&C yet. I am going to send another e-mail tonight since they never pick up the phone. If I have time later I will go have a look at that worst pet shop I've ever seen again for any animal abuse again. In the mean time have anyone heard of the new fish and game law about keeping foreign turtles/tortoises, frogs, and bearded lizards in California?

I have already sent e-mail to the Animal Care and Control department. I am still waiting for reply at the moment. They never answer the phone so there is no use of calling them.

Problem at least in the USA with calling the cops is they'll say it's an animal control issue. If you call ASPCA they'll say they'll check into it but in reality they won't. Reptiles don't count to them because it's "exotic".

I wouldn't trust the cops in my town to save me if I was on fire let alone a defenseless animal. The 1 cop is an alcoholic, is he ever in trouble for it? nope he drives a car, swerves around and they say he's a good cop...i'll take my chances with a fire by myself :lol:

true that~ the cops won't come at least 15 minutes if there are gun shooting report~ but plenty of cops will come within 1 minute if there is an car accident in my country~ LoL~ I didn't make up the story~ based on what I've seen~ LoL~
