important questions about my baby bearded dragon

I just got my baby bearded dragon yesterday and he wi sometimes glass surf is that normal. Also I'm buying more things for his home and they are getting here in two days will he have to get use to the teriarium all of again when I add new stuff

I agree, most pet stores are just out to make a buck. Petsmart and, Petco are the worst offenders. Those Dragon Kits they sell are mostly tossable junk (about 90%). The staff at these places don't know doodley-squat about dragon care.
I am not saying these things to frighten you, I am just trying to help you and, your new little buddy have a long life together so you can share adventures together along the way.

Examples of stuff in the kits that shouldn't be there are
>> sand for the substrate / bedding ( DO NOT USE IT )…. better off laying down some thick absorbant paper toweling.
>> 13W compact UV globe …. very good idea to take the compact globe back to the store and exchange it for a 26W UVB200
>> dragon bites --> take back and exchange for something useful or simply throw in bin
>> night lite …. very good idea to take it back and exchange for a ceramic heat emitter

Different kits , different junk included.

How big is the dragon ( can you put him in a tub and weigh him ) ?

Exactly what advise was given to you ?

I got my baby bearded dragon a week ago from PetSmart too. He was glass surfing for 3 days after I got him. He started to calm down about 4 days ago. Just give him some time and feed him with dubia roaches( you can get it from Petco). Be sure that they are small so he won’t get scared. Don’t forget to add calcium 5 times a week and multivitamin 2 times a week on dubia roaches. Also cover 3 sides of the tank. They might see their reflection and that can make them more nervous and stressed.

Relocation stress is common so don’t worry about it! He will eventually settle in

Oh forgot to mention. I bought new stuff for his tank yesterday and mine seems to be stressed. They will adapt to their new environment if you give them some time to settle. Mine just licks everything and runs around. That’s means he’s smelling which is a good sign. If you see him running around don’t pick him up or disturb him. Let him discover the new things in his tank. Mine gets aggressive when I try to pick him up while he’s running around. Yours might do that too!
