Okay, I know there is plenty of articles on impaction, but I think my little guy may be impacted, and I don't know what to do.
I just bathed him in warm water.
He has been basking all day, and his lamp is always around 100 degrees.
I only had a few crickets for him today, so as a backup, I gave him three really small mealworms.
I know, I'm probably going to get chewed out for feeding him those, but when I initially bought him, the lady said that is what they fed him. And there were no crickets available, so that is what I fed him for the first few days of owning him. And he was absolutely fine. So I assumed he would be okay to have just a few again now that he is almost twice his size when I first got him.
Now, he still ran away when I tried to pick him up, and had no trouble moving.
But upon placing him back in his cage, and noting he hadn't pooped yet, I felt his stomach, and I'm pretty sure there is a small little hard spot on it.
Should I just give him until tomorrow since he ate a little later than normal? Or what should I do? I'm really worried.
That said, I DO worry about this little guy to the extreme, so I could be wrong. I just wanted some advice. Would just waiting a day be alright to see if he is able to poop? Or should I just take immediate precautions?
I've been told he is probably going to be okay, but again, I worry.
