So I think I may be jumping the gun here but I would rather be safe then sorry. My girl hasn't pooped in the past 2 days and I'm starting to get concerned. Her last 2 poops have been mushy with what seem to be undigested carrot pieces. My mom gave her a salad mix which included lettuce and some carrots, Iwas thinking that may have just been too much water. So she went back to regular kale and dandelion greens and ate those fine. But Ihavent had a poop from her. And here comes the big no no.. she had eaten several meal worms. I wanted to put some more protein in her diet as she is growing and everyone (several pet stores, a breeder and a friend) that I talked to about it said they'd never heard of any problems with them. So she's gotten 5 in the past 2 days. 3 the first, skipped a day and then 2 on Sunday. But I haven't gotten a poop from her since Saturday. I am almost home from school and was planning to soak her in the tub for a bit to see if that helps (she hasn't had a bath since friday) if that doesn't work what should Ido? I've been super protective over her and now that there is a slight chance for impaction I feel horrible :'( I'm also on a poor college kid budget, so if the vet is necessary I can take her there but id like to rule out all my other options first. Thanks.

Sincerely,
One very upset beardie momma :/

Hi there....no need at all for a trip to the vet, and a lot depends on her age/size and how she is acting. While mealworms are not very good for beardies, larger dragons can have them as treats, small beardies may become impacted, but it's not always the case. Are you feeding her other insects ? She needs alot of protein if she's growing....crickets should be no longer than the space between her eyes....[ large dragons aren't bound to that rule of thumb] offered 2-3 times a day, 15 - 30 each feeding [ If they will eat that much, some will, some won't ] For veggies you should use greens like turnip, mustard, collard, dandelion. Carrots aren't that great , and they MUST be grated for babies to digest them properly, or they can be a cause of impaction. If you want, you can give her veg. oil, canned pumpkin [ not spiced ] or baby food prunes or applesauce to help her to poo, along with warm, shallow supervised 10 minute baths. If she's not looking distressed, she's probably fine, but if she's a juvenile, you do want to get her to go soon.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
