Just got a new beardie. His pics are in the intro section. He ate a ton of small crickets last night, but one or two of them were a bit bigger than the others. I tried to make sure none slipped through. They were a tad bigger than the space between his eyes and he got to them before I could grab them. This was last night, and he's running around fine now. I plan to keep an eye out more carefully, but as I said, this one was hiding. I shouldn't be worried about this one instance, correct?
They can and will eat prey bigger than the space between their eyes, but its a good rule of thumb so that people wont go out and get, like, large crickets for their 6" babies.
