Hello,
I have read nearly all of the forums on impaction. But I would like to get some reassurance and further guidance.
My baby beardie is 5 months old, and has not pooped for nearly 6 days. She normally poops every day. She eats a diet of dubias (sized of length between her eyes) and squash and some little pellets mixed with the squash. We calcium dust everything and give her vitamins 2x/week. She gets baths every other day for 15 mins, which she really seems to enjoy.

I am planning on going to get some mineral oil, a syringe, all natural baby prune canned food, and unsweetened applesauce. I will start with a few drops of olive oil and some unsweetened applesauce. Hopefully this will get her to poo.

She has been hiding a lot lately, but is still pretty active when we take her out of her home. Here is her set-up:

What else can I do? I will call the vet if she does not poo in the next two days. :(

THANK YOU!

Hi there....you've got the proper stuff to help her to poo, one more thing is to make her bath water just a bit warmer + deeper than usual. I think the combo of those things will probably do the trick. A vet might want to do an enema, which is kind of harsh, so try these thing for a few days.

My birdie has only had 2 minor impactions that caused him to not poo for about a week each time. I simply put a little acidopholiz+ and a few drops of olive oil on his greens and he pooped within a few hours each time. This may not work with a more severe impaction, but it is always worth a shot! Good Luck!

Thank you all for your reassurance!
I was able to get her to poo! It happened almost immediately after I gave her 3 drops of olive oil and some baby prunes (which she liked up excitedly lol) and put her in a warmer bath. The poop was abnormally long! (She is still a baby, around 8 months- but small for her age due to tank mate aggressiveness-- we adopted her for free from PetSmart bc of this and a bitten off limb)

Again, thank you!
And to anyone who is trying to overcome impaction-- try out olive oil, baby pure prunes, canned pumpkin, and the other suggestions made here.

:)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
