On a swap and buy site on facebook this morning I saw a picture of a beardie for sale. I clicked on it and apparently it is 8 months old (looks more like 2 months), has a tail nip, is living in a 15 gallon enclosure, and is under a repti-glo light that is 8 months old. I messaged the owner in hopes of educating them on caring for this animal. When I asked what it is being fed, she told me meal worms and kiwi. I'm surprized its still alive. I wish I could take it in, but I don't have the time or money for another beardie. She wants 100 bucks for it. But when you factor in the new enclosure and lighting, its well over 250. When I mentioned it needs at least a 40 gallon enclosure, she said "well she's tiny right now so she doesnt need a big one..." I feel horrible about how some people care for these animals. Sorry this is my little vent for the day.
