Your setup has a fair bit going on already and boy is he cute! My recommendation for climbers is to add more in the vertical space. If you can find a nice branchy branch outside, you can clean it up (bake it if you want the extra sterilization) and use that. When pepper was about that size he enjoyed lounging about on his sticks. Sticks also tend to be relatively easy to take out for cleaning since they are so light.
Some dragons like to dig and an area with fabric scraps, paper shreds or some loose substrate that is kept very clean can give them some outlet for that. Some people like to put fabric scraps in the hides for a “burrowing” experience.
Foraging enrichment can be hanging veggie leaves around the cage so he has to put some thought into getting to them. Getting a cat toy or curing some holes in a ping pong ball and putting feeders inside. The dragon will mess with the ball to get the feeders to fall or crawl out.

your guy is little and fits his enclosure fine now but consider starting a savings for getting a larger enclosure. Keep an eye if Facebook classified and craigslist and you might get a good deal. Your lights are great and won’t need to be upgraded even if you get something bigger. Bigger means you can have more going on for your little guy to choose from. It doesn’t need to be cluttered, but provide different options for light/heat/posture/texture.

The neighborhood here is pretty well kept clean. I'll see if i can try to find any taller climbing branch type things at petsmart to try to add. I've seen those mesh climbing nets by Zmed i think the brand is but i'm very hesitant to try those due to the fact the nails can get caught in the mesh.

I'll make it a point to look for those when i go out tomorrow. it's got to be something that can fit in the open space.

I also have access to amazon prime as well.

If you see anything online let me know.

If i get that it could fit next to this new grapevine branch that I purchased. See below picture for placement...and all the 'river rocks' that are decorations for aquariums from petsmart that i put around it. ONe of the original driftwood pieces is to be used as a weight. Hopefully this won't fall down with a loud crashing sound

so i used the two penn plax lounging areas but the hammok from the other supplier didn't even come with suction cups. Which is fine after trying out the penn plax suction cups on it found it's not going to fit into the enclosure, and while trying to situate it it fell down right next to Kohaku....so that went back into the box to hold for the future.

the small triangle is on the back wall flat so to give some climbing on the back and hopefully minimize the glass surfing back there. The triangle with the rectangle flap is on the ffront left side of the enclosure and i've seen kohaku lounging in it today. Got the grapevine lightly resting on one of the driftwoods and it's got a little higher climb now.

Other than the water changing i have to do tonight i think it's a much better climbing setup for kohaku now.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Stick with the basking logs, they are totally natural [ nice to see your little guy up there :) ] I've never bothered with hammocks, they are a hazard in my opinion, claws can get stuck + feet can get sprained.

If I removed the hide and got a better hide I would have more room maybe. Will go back to world of pesticides to check for more grapevine when able.

The hide + the branch are fine, no need to add or change anything right now. You can add a hammock if you like but you do want him basking on wood primarily because it holds heat but does not get too hot like plastic , tile or rock.

Understood and that was supposed to be World of PETS not world of pesticides. Stupid autocorrect on the phone

Took the One lizard lounger down as two of the three suction cups were not sticking to the glass. Left the triangle up on the back wall as it hangs flat vertically and so far those suction cups look to be holding.

Might look for one additional ramp type branch or driftwood for the tank, or maybe some more of those river rock accent stones from petsmart for the areas with space in that area.

Thanks again for your suggestions, will be leaving the hide as is.

Should I add a piece of slate into the enclosure...not a very big one just one to help keep the nails trimmed. I have driftwood and grape vine in there already but the hide is a fake fiberglass/plastic stone cave/mountain hide. I just don't know if the natural wood would also keep the nails trimmed like the slate would as I would be very uncomfortable trying to trim my girl's nails myself. Still banking on the fact that she's female and I've heard her digging around inside her hide on the side of the hide on occasion nightly.

Thoughts welcome.

Slate or ceramic tile works pretty well for that. Just go with one that isn't coated and has a little bit of friction when you run your hand across it to ensure it will allow traction.

I have both a lowes and home depot near me if I'm doing the bottom of a 40 gallon tank how much would I need? Or should I just do it under the half that does food and water?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
