I'm new - Problems with pics - any similar resolutions?

Hi~
I'm new here - I have an 8 month old female Sandfire Red/Citrus cross - Her name is Jorji

There is a pic of her under my name -
I am trying to get this pic to the left under my name. It is only 5.5 KB - under the 8KB allowance and it is in JPEG format. When I try to upload it from photobucket - it tells me pics need to be in JPEG format - but it is.

Any suggestions?

Hi, I resized that above image and tested it as my avatar and it works for me...if that's what you wanted, just save it from my avatar and let me know when you have it so I can take it off my profile.

The avatar can only be 80x80 pixels, I think that may have been your problem...80x80 is tiny.

I think that is my problem. How do I make it 80 X80?

Assuming you don't have Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.net or any other image manipulation/photo editing software...and you use Windows, you can edit the pics by opening them with Paint, go to image --> Strecth/Skew, then use equal percentages for hieght and width to scale it down using percentages. To check it, go to image --> Attributes, and it will tell you how many pixels it is, height by width. If you are starting off with a pic that is a perfect square, you can skip the Stretch/Skew step and go straight to Attributes and make it 80x80. If you are familiar with using Paint, but don't want to buy any software or use a full-blown editor like GIMP, I recommend Paint.net: http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html It is a very well coded program that is free and easy to use.
