Well, it was an unexpected surprise, but I found a beardie today on CraigsList. Something told me I needed to look at the ad. It was for a 2 year old bearded dragon that was 9 inches long from nose to tail tip. I called the attached number and asked for a picture. Once I saw that picture, I knew I needed to take him. He was thin and stressed. This is what I ended up with:
He was being kept in a 10 gallon tank. He had no name in his two years. He was eating iceburg lettuce when I got him, and he had no water in his tank. His tank was filthy with something reddish and sticky. On such short notice, all I could throw together was a 20 gallon. Here are his first few minutes home:
Bath first. He enjoyed it thoroughly!
He drank and drank and drank.
In his new tank.
New home.
He had some baby food in the bath, which he gobbled happily. Iksar is settling in and chomping on crickets. He is soooooo hungry! The poor little guy. He scares Reptor already. Reptar first arm waved and then head bobbed. So funny. Any way, enough rambling. I will be getting slate tomorrow!
