Iksar is shedding!

This wouldn't be such a big deal if she weren't already undersized. I'm so proud! This is her first shed under my care, and it shows me that I'm doing a good job making her a healthy little booger again and helping her grow. I'm so excited! Unfortunately, no pictures. I was on the way out the door this morning when I noticed. I had to pack up the rats and go to work. Maybe she will still be shedding after school...

By the way. I was wondering if any one else has experienced anything like this. Her head is the shedding part right now, but the middle of the top of her head never got dull and never did shed to my knowledge. Has anyone had a dragon that shed all but one small part of their head? It is a normal color that matches the rest of her head. I just don't understand it! :? The part I'm talking about is a small patch right between her eyes on the top of her head and is maybe pea sized. Thanks!

Mine has done the shedding in patches. She shed her lips and nose and nothing else one time. Now she is getting ready to shed just her fore arms like a pair of gloves. Congratulations on Iksar's first shed. You must be dong somehthing right.

Yes, when they get larger shedding in patches becomes the norm. Right now, the top of Khan's head and his front and back legs are in shed. So nothing to worry about!

Thank you! I was a bit worried because Reptar sheads his head and body in total every time and then he sheds his arms and tail in total. It just looked very different.

It turns out both of my babies decided to shed today. Here are pictures:

Iksar had skin tubes hanging out of her nose when I got home. I gave her a bath and teased one out with a Q tip. She had a good drink in the bath and had a swim. She pooed twice in her water. I guess she was very full of poo. I'm so pleased with her shed!
