When do females lay eggs? I'm still not sure Angus is a boy, that or I'm just in denial as I really don't want to have to deal with egg laying! At what age do they start showing/doing this and how often?

Just curious because he's been acting weird lately - all over the viv when normally he's just warming up at his spot! Yesterday he was climbing the walls, seeking out the underneath area of his steps, scratching at them and then what looked like he was pushing on his branch (see the photo I posted in Photo Expressions).

Normally he falls asleep on the top spot as well but last night it was under the steps.

Sure - hopefully this is clear enough as it was taken with my phone by my son while I held him/her. I feel like a perv and he/she didn't really like that! LOL

I think Angus is an Angus.

I could just HUG you! Nothing against females (hell I am one) ...but I'd rather not have to deal with the egg laying. I had an African Grey parrot that I had for 9 yrs, thought the darn thing was a boy - hell his name was Carlos. We were stationed in Guam where vets aren't plentiful, I was shipping out the next day when Carlos got ill (what we thought was ill) ....until my hubby said he knew what it was (I was on the phone calling a vet). There on his lap was an egg! So she laid eggs every so often and we left them in her cage because it kept her "calm" ...after a month we'd remove them! She was still called Carlos but we said that was now SHORT for Carlosita! LOL

Haha that's the bad thing about female beardies, you never know if you're going to get some eggs. I can't be sure, I'm not an expert, but he looks male to me. Haha I love that story!

The bumps are on the base of the tail. Like, on the underside of the tail. You circled the wrong bumps. This is where you should be looking

I'll see if I can get a clearer shot later today. He's only about 6 or 7 months so maybe it's too soon yet! (PLEASE be an Angus) :)

I don't see ANY bumps/bulges - could it be because he's (notice I'm NOT giving up on him being a he) too young yet to tell?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
