Of course I'm posting again because one of my dragons is worrying me, the culprit this time is Boba Fett. A few weeks ago I posted he'd been acting very strange constantly digging and st his cage just going insane! Well this last couple of days I've noticed yet another change. Hes more lethargic then normal, hes taking frequent naps throughout the day and he's stopped eating as much. His temps r 110 hot 80 cold. Uvb is reptisun 10 just over 6 months old (bought march 6). He eats collard & mustard greens multiple times a day plus either superworms or crickets he gets calcium 5xs a week vitamins 2xs a week. His vet is on vacation this next week and I don't have another herp vet around but he's been parasite free since the 2nd month we had him. Could this be brumation? What can I do to help him out? Oh his norm bath schedule is 4 days a week but he's been shedding so he's been getting baths every night.

The beardie is either a female with eggs. Or the beardie is stressed from its reflection on glass. My hatchlings did that so often and they kept trying to escape. I placed paper towels on the side of the tank. If that is strictly your pet then place a nice picture from a petstore all around the tank except the front to get rid of the reflection.

It does sound like brumation, my own boy went into his hide and buried himself under his blanket a couple weeks ago. This is the 3rd summer in a row that he's crashed mid-late August. All beardies brumate differently...mine will sleep hard for a few weeks, wake up a bit, and go back to sleep a few more weeks until around Thanksgiving he'll be done. Some are up a couple days and down a couple days.

It doesn't sound like he's sleeping yet, but if he goes that route make sure you give him a bath or whatever trick you have to get him to go poo, so stuff isn't rotting in his stomach while he sleeps.

I am fairly certain that Boba Fett is starting to brumate. A lot of my beardie friends' beardie(s) had been wanting to hide and sleep more for the past 3-4 weeks, even though the temps had been warm enough.
The constant digging may just be his natural instinct to make a nest to brumate in.

If you don't see an obvious and concerning weight loss, I wouldn't worry about him.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
