I think my male bearded dragon is actually a female..

So recently in Beardie ER I posted about my two starved bearded dragons. Up until today I believed both were males as I was told they were, however the one who is in better health, Bozo, went poop today, but with it was an egg shaped thing. So, as I was changing the bedding, my brother asked to cut it open and because I was throwing it away anyway, I said sure. What came out was a light yellow/cream puss looking stuff. I know if it was an egg it wasn't fertilized, in the last three years they have never been in contact with other dragons, but I just want to make sure this is just an egg and not something else. And this has never happened before and I have been caring for them for 3 years, so if it is an egg how do I make sure she gets them all out? If you need pictures I can try and find it and take a picture.

If you got to this link I have three pictures of the "egg" and what was inside it.

Have you had them to a vet? It would be interesting to see what the Vet says, or maybe someone else on here who has had a dragon lay eggs can answer. I would imagine that if it was an egg there wouldn't be just one? I'm not in the know about this I hope someone can give you some advise.

Yeah, Bozo looks girly in the more recent pictures you have posted there, and the pic looks like a slug, or infertile egg.

Soak her regularly and keep a close eye on her. She may need to go to a vet for help with any remaining eggs; she shouldn't have tried to produce any in her emaciated state, to be honest, so that's pretty strange.

The concerning thing is that slugs are often more difficult for females to pass in the first place, and with her being weak already, she may have even more difficulty passing infertile eggs. Try gently feeling her abdomen, see if you can feel more inside of her. It could have even been an old egg bound egg that she's finally been able to pass; hard to say.

Good luck!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
