Haha so I've had my girl for a little over a month and she head bobbed once in the beginning and hasn't since. So yesterday I was feeding her and after about 30 Dubias I asked her is she was full (haha yes I talk to my dragons) and she looked at me took a couple steps back and bobbed like 3 times and crawled up on her log!! Either she's a genius or this is normal behavior because she is now doing it every time she eats and its the same thing the past 4 times she ate. She eats like a little fatty and when shes full she steps back bobs her head and goes to her log. Has anyone else had this happen? Or is she a genius?

I talk to all my skinks (2 bluetongues and a water skink) and both my beardies. LOTS.

All mine tell me when they have enough , or want to get on the floor, or want to use the toilet, want a closed door opened LOL .

They soon figure out how to manipulate their human slave / protector / provider.

Both my beardies, do what you described, " I'm full - no more daddy, now can I get off and play ?"

Interestingly the bluetongues when they've had enough , simply crawl up under my chin or onto my shoulder near an ear - if I can't get to the mouth that ends the feeding season.

The water skink simply rubs her nose on my shirt or into my hand and then snuggles into my elbow when she's satisfied.

I'm convinced pet lizards can learn some words and appropriate responses to those words depending on the situation (if you are always asking "enough ?" at the end of the feeding and the lizard is feeling full, it might associate the word with no more food, time to get off). I also think a lot more goes on between their ears than most give them credit for.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
