I've posted before but I'm still worried about Charlie. I think this might be the end for my baby beardie. He is skin and bones... I can see his hips, ribs, and collar bone. I have been trying to get in contact with an exotic vet. He weighed at 11 grams last week. Yesterday, he was 10 grams. Today he is at 9 grams. I've been syringe feeding him for a week now. It's a struggle to get it into him. He won't touch any of the food I offer him either. I tried offering tiny, soft Dubias and Phoenix worms and he just wanted to get away from them. He had been less active but now he barely moves. When I put my hand in his terrarium, he just kind of clings to me and when I put him back in he doesn't want to let go. I give him a warm baths and warm water mists. I'm trying to keep him comfortable.
Terrarium: 40 gallon ZooMed terrarium with a split screen top.
Heating and Lighting:
Day- ReptiSun 10.0 T8 UVB. ReptiSun Basking Spot Lamp (100w) housed in a dual dome with a heat emitter. The basking area measures at 109° F. The cool side of the terrarium measures at 83° F. The lights are on a timer and remains on for 12 hours a day.
Night- Heat emitter kept on for 12 hours by timer when the day lights are off. The nighttime temperature measures at abound 70° F.
Thermometers: They are thermometer/hygrometer combos. One is on the warm side hung at the height of the basking spot. The other on the cool side. Both have been checked for accuracy. I also use an infrared temperature gun.
Substrate: Reptile carpet.
