on the last discussion, Lizarto died. but i think i know the reason she died.
it was a wonderful fall/spring in Texas. i was out with my dragons getting there daily sun to help with there metabolism and etc. i saw a green caterpillar with a red head, i don't bother it to much. (it was far away) but when i was petting squishy, Lizarto was in the run for the caterpillar. as I looked up at Lizarto, she was running to the caterpillar, i ran to picked her up and try to let her spit it out but it was to late she swallowed it. i could have taken to her to the vet, but it was sunday, they where closed, it was the nearest vet that took care of reptiles.
i was wondering if the caterpillar must have killed her.
my question is, was that type of caterpillar dangerous that it killed her?
(idk my caterpillars)
thanks :(

The caterpillar could have caused a number of problems, unfortunately :-(

Poisonous to eat
Contained stingers that could have stung the inside of your beardie
Contained parasites or other diseases

I'm so sorry for your loss..

If you do some google searching are you able to find an image of the caterpillar? There are so many of those critters around it's hard to say for sure if it was harmful or not.

If the local birds eat that kind of caterpillar it's likely OK.

If it's been feeding on leaves that have been sprayed with insecticide or even herbicide, this is a different matter and not good if it's accumulated a huge dose of these in it's flesh , even worse.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
