I swear he is holding his poop!!

This may sound weird, but I swear my beardie is holding his poop until I can take him in the shower each night. Today I was running late and didn't get my kids to bed until later (after 9pm) and when I came in to check on my beardie he was black bearding me! He was WIDE AWAKE and just staring at me. I picked him up and took him in the shower and with in two minutes he did his dirty work and was happly playing in the water. Hmmmm, I think that some might say that I am beardie whipped. Once I put him back in his viv he basked for 15 minutes and crawled off to his sleep spot. Spoiled! :mrgreen:

My Auraelia won't go in her viv. She waits till she's out though I think that she prefers to be in the tub when she goes, even though I caught her going on the carpet yesterday. But every morning they get dusted crickets and then a bath. :whip:

Ok, now I know, he really is holding it! I got home late tonight and by the time I had my kids in bed and could take my own shower it was 9:00 pm. No poop in the viv today and he didn't go yesterday (I didn't give him a shower either) so I grabbed him and headed off to the shower. Within 5 minutes he went! :lol:

Malibu has started a terrible habit of not going in her bath anymore to scratching at the slider door to go outside.That wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't
40* outside.Than when she gets out there she goes over the hill does her thing & comes back.....I think she was a dog in her last life.

I wish mine would go in the tub! he poops alot (alot more than I thought he would because of all the articles about impaction). He gets it on everything and today he went in his bowl after he ate

you just wait till you don't have time for a daily bath, so in revenge they squirm through it, redecorate their viv's and paint their walls.. and smile like an innocent child with poop ALL over them... you know you have beardies with attitude when you have a tin full of twenty odd old 'beardie scrubbing' toothbrushes.

And imagine being the one who has to deal with this every day coz your six month old refuses to go in his daily bath or in anywhere predictable - he poops wherever he feels like it whenever noone is around and then proceeds to fingerpaint EVERYTHING in the viv so that cleaning up is never just a simple lift and wipe!! COunt yourself as one of the lucky ones lol!!! If Kazi waited for me to bath/shower him I think id be a very happy beardie mum! lol!

imagine have six dragons who do this daily, an ackie and three gecko's.... not to mention the three shingleback skinks on the way, who no doubt will follow the trend. :lol:

Lol... I swear next one I get I'll do everything to 'potty train' them to go in easy to clean places.... either that or start using paper towels as substrate and cardboard boxes as viv furniture, I have 2 identical logs and 2 identical rocks for him so that in the event of him pooping on his basking spots, I have a back up (this happens more often than I would ever have imagined possible!!) thankfully my female poops in the same spot at the same time every day so that lessons the daily viv scrub!!!! lol!

Cori likes to go in the car... I can't wuite understand it... but he knows what days I go to the store to get his crickets and thats the day he holds it until we are in the car. It makes for one stinky ride... :?
