I really would like to feed worms but...

I have a MASSIVE phobia of them. I've always fed crickets, but they are SO annoying. It would be really convenient for me to just feed a dish of superworms and greens, but superworms and the creepiest thing ever. I would totally feed silkworms (not afriad of them cause they're like caterpillars.) but they're too expensive for me. Any ideas on how I can get over my worm phobia?

Even if you use tweezers to handle them so you dont actually have to touch them? lol...idk

Maybe if you get them from a pet store one of the employees there will be nice enough to package them in a way that you can just dump them in

Haha even the sight of one creeps me out. I'm thinking of maybe getting one and keeping it in a little container in my room, that would get me used to the sight of them.

The only way to get over your fear is to hit it head on!! Just grab a handful of them and hold em!! Its not that bad!! Try roaches their even worse your first time!! Good luck!! :wink:

I used to have a problem with supers, they flat out freaked my out. I couldn't touch them and barley could pick them up with tongs but after awhile of having them in the house, I got used to them. Now I pick them up with no problem.
I say just order a few hundred and deal with it

The only real helpful advice I can give...is to get over it! I used to be so freaked out by roaches...I saw one in the bathtub while I was taking a shower once and I actually had to jump out of there of how freaked out I was of them, lol...and now...I have dubias in a tub in my room that I'm ok with touching and picking up. Supers are a bit creepy to me cuz they can bite, so I would probably use tweezers for those. But you just need to face your fears and do what's best for your dragon.

Guys...I have NIGHTMARES about superworms. I don't think I could just pick up a bunch in my hand. I'd probably scream, throw them everywhere, then I'd realize that I just threw superworms everywhere and that they're all over the place, and finally I'd run away screaming. I dunno, I really do want the best for Zeus. Maybe I could get my parents to feed them the first few times, while I watch. Then when I'm used to seeing them I can try myself.

Id rather deal with worms ANYDAY than crickets lol! Superworms are not the nicest looking things on earth, but I just use tweezers! I dont mind handling the hornworms and silkworms. . .I think they are kind of cool looking!

Hornworms and silkworms are really beautiful! I like them cause they're caterpillars. I might order some hornworms soon . Anyways, I have another brilliant idea from my brilliant mind! My boyfriend offered me a can of dead supers. Might just start with getting uesd to the texture and sight of them, and then move on to the moving kind. Wish me luck

lol, just do what amy said...use tweezers! there's no need to actually touch them if you don't want to.

They're a bit tricky at first...I kinda accidentally killed a bunch of crickets trying to grab them with those, lol woops.
