Female 17 inch.
50 gallon tank.
She is constantly glass dancing- restless  :blob8: :blob8:
I took her to the vet.
she cost me a fortune already.
she is not egg binding. she got an X-ray and she has no eggs.
they put her on a hormone regulator and it seems to slightly work thinking
she had "spring fever" :?: I take her out once ina while so she can lose some steam, :?
i am thinking of taking her back to the vet to get a swab of her stool. :|
maybe she has some illness? she was just fine and relaxed for the past 4 months 8)
and now shes just bizerk for the past 3 weeks.
her appetite is fine.
I really don't wanna spend another 500-6 hundo but im trying to explore any option :| :silent:
i love her so much and she is my baby ! :( :(
can someone and everyone help me!!!!!!! :banghead:

Hi there....what kind of " hormone regulator " is she on ? I've never heard of that ....and sorry you've had to spend so much money ! aAnd you post the X-rays here ? Remember that any X-rays are your property if you want access to them. As far as restlessness, both males AND females will act that way at times....in the wild they could travel + move about for hours if they wanted, in captivity they settle for a " deluxe jail cell." Just kidding, but yes, it's good to let her out to roam, and even take her outside in the great wilderness [ with proper supervision] to get exercise. But that behavior will come + go for many dragons, some are the opposite + more laid back. I see no need for another vet visit, and you might ask exactly what the hormone regulator does and what possible side effects there are.

and if i let her out of her cage she will run around but still stop at a wall and dance on the walls throwing her body around the same way she does in her viviarium. so it cant be the space because she'd do the same glass dancing if she were in a bigger tank. she seems frustrated and still restless when i let her roam free. almost looking for a place to climb.

That makes me feel better. I just feel bad that she constantly seems like she doesn't know what to do with herself.
would it be a bad idea to get another dragon? ahha just kidding she is enough stress.
lmao i just want her to be okay and i guess i'll just let her roam as much as possible from now on.
she appears to be healthy no sunken eyes or anything. i just am surprised at the energy this lil one has.
non stop.

Sick reptile don't tend to have extra energy - rather they be come lethargic and loose their appetite. It's probably just her personality or maybe a phase that she has so much energy.

I'm sure you have considering the effort you've already gone too... But are her temps correct? Is she getting enough to eat?

What's your setup like, does she have things to climb on/under/around and to offer stimulation? It may be worth considering a larger tank - even though she may still want out and elsewhere she does have to spend most her time in an enclosure and she sounds like the type to make use of the space given.

Just some thoughts, she may just be a rambunctious dragon. :)

Mine does that every year right after brumation and for us the best is to give her as much running opportunity as I can give her. After a while she calms down, just to start the same spiel a couple weeks later. Be happy she is active and it sounds like a healthy dragon.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
