I have $500, I wanna get a new enclosure!

My beardie is 3 1/2 years old, he is 18 inches long.
So we got an aquarium for free donated to us and we've been using that for the past year, but I don't think Spike likes it. It is too tall and it's hard to get the temps right. Either way I can barely reach in. I am gonna sell it and I expect to get some $500 for it.
I wanna get the best I can for the money I have. I want all your ideas, size of tank, brand if you can. I've heard of custom made enclosures with different materials so I'd love to hear ideas on this!
Please help Spike get his dream home!

If I had $500 (which I unfortunately don't) there is no doubt in my mind that I would buy an enclosure from Showcase Cages:

Seriously, if I had the means to design my own perfect beardie enclosure, it would be EXACTLY what they've designed. They thought of everything! Make sure you click through the "Features" page and click on all the little "i" buttons for more info in each section. There is so much awesome on that site!
