AAARRRRRRGGGGG! :angry5: :angry5: I HATE FEDEX! OK, all better now.
I ordered crix and PWs Monday night from Ghann's. I always get them delivered by DHL on Wed when I do this. I have used Ghann's since I got Bogie. Never a problem. Healthy bugs, high overcount. GREAT customer service. This time for some unknown they shipped FedEx. The package went from Agusta, Ga to Ellenwood Ga, to Nashville, Tn. Good so far except they got to Nashville LAST NIGHT! Normally I would have had the package by 2 yesterday afternoon!
Now for the fun part - at 2:30 this AM the box left Nashville and went to..... MADISON, ALABAMA! :banghead: That is the delivery ctr for Manchester, Tn. 2-3 hours away! Nashville is only 1 hour from here!!!! :angry5: IF my bugs are dead there's going to be H... to pay. :angry5: :banghead: :angry5:

Thanks for listening. I needed the therapy. I hate stupid policies and systems.

I agree with you on FedEx. Going to have to get used to it though as DHL no longer services the US. When I get my feeders from FedEx the boxes usually have crushed corners and occasionally a hole in them. One driver laughed a bit once saying he had crix in his truck. I couldn't help but think what an *****.

No more DHL! Say it ain't so! :( Why? What happened? They were great! And cheaper! :D
I don't want this kind of "service". It's 2:30 and my crix still aren't here! It's 90 outside, and they should have been here yesterday! Heck, I should have driven down there to get them! I don't usually feel sorry for bugs, but today I do!

DHL announced back in January that they were going to cut all domestic only shipping in the US. Apparently their US business wasn't profitable enough so they cut it.

I've never really had a problem with Fedex. I have been getting my bugs from Mulberry Farms (in California). Since I'm in Southern AZ, they have been sending my bugs 2 day air from there and, in the summer when it's 90 or close to it, they suggest we have the package held at their center for us to pick up, since Mulberry Farms doesn't know when the package will be delivered to us. I can go from my work to the local Fedex office, pick up my bugs and get back to work in 10 minutes, assuming that fedex isn't busy when I go. If they are, it adds maybe another 5 to 10 minutes. I don't know what happened to your bugs but since it's so hot where you are now, maybe you should see if your company (I've never ordered from them) will do a hold the package for you.

My shipment from Mulberry are delivered by UPS...............always timely, no problemo. You know, on their order form you can click how you want it delivered and the cost of each is shown to choose.

Yes, I have mine sent fedex 2 day because it's cheaper and the bugs get here healthier than if I would have them sent ups ground (same time frame). They said that sending the bugs via ups ground tends to cause problems with the bugs and they automatically upgraded my shipping to fedex 2 day. That is fine with me because I've never had dead bugs from them coming that way and it's a LOT cheaper than having something sent next day air. I had crickets sent 2 day air to save shipping, but this was from another company, and 1/2 of them were dead by the time I got them. I think it's easier for me to get the bugs from a company that is closer to my house than the other company I mentioned. There bugs are good and healthy just like Mulberry Farms are but you must have them sent next day air or they don't do well.

Fed Ex in our area is horrid. If I see a site sends by Fed Ex, I won't use it. I will pay more money if I have to for UPS lol

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
