I found a beardie and tank in dumpster ! HELP !!

OH yah.. trust me the only part I've kissed on is his back, and even then he turned around and hissed at me !!

MJ is definately bossy ! What she wants she gets ! Which is annoying since they both sleep with me in the bed, I have to wake up early enough to put Prince back in his tank before MJ gets up, or else she'll go on a poop & food strike all day :evil: !!!!

Wow- where have I been? I had seen on another thread that you got another beardie Prince, but I never knew this story. I can't believe that someone could do such a thing to such a beautiful animal. :evil:
I deffinately believe in divine intervention, and believe God put you there to be that beardie's saving grace. I mean, what's the chance anyone would find him in a dumpster- let alone someone who loves beardies and has such a caring heart to take another in? I don't believe in coincidence, I believe in fate. What a wonderful thing you have done, and it really makes me happy to see all the pictures and updates (it took me over an hour to read this whole thread). I'm sure MJ will come around to sharing his Mommy... but Prince needs all the love he can get right now. Great job, and God Bless! xo

Thank you Angie ! Yes , it was definately meant to be for me to be there.. it was faith ! Prince is the dumpster beardie .. I call him Prince because he's so charming, and he came to me.. I didn't rescue him, he found me ! honestly, if it was a dog or cat or any other type of animal, I would've either given it away already.. I mean what are the coincidence that a beardie lover would FIND a beardie thrown away !?!?!!?! So I was the lucky one to find him

Wow, Rainbow, I just found this thread, what a great thing you did. I'm glad Prince was in good health underneath all that dirt. You're lucky he didn't have severe MBD like our Angel did. When we rescued her, we were told she was 16 mo old, she was tiny and so skinny. Now she's grown over an inch and has gained over 150grams.

Glad to see he's running around and good luck with MJ & Prince ever getting along. We have 5 beardies, 3 girls & 2 boys and my hubby thought the girls would get along if we put them together. Well, good thing we were watching, they all tried to eat each other! :shock: And even though we've not put them together again, they black beard constantly, even when they can't see each other! So good luck with that! :mrgreen:

I'm so glad you were able to keep Prince. Did you have to get the UVB Repti-glo 8.0 for now, we tried the Reptiglo 10.0 once and never again. Sweetie became a different beardie, so we switched bulbs right away. Issy had a Reptiglo 5.0 at one time, she suffered from seizures, which were gone within a day when we got her a power sun. So all our beardies have power sun's now, but it's going to be a yearly big expense. We'll have to put that in the buget after the car is fixed. Always something!

The pics of the two of your beardies are so cute, Prince sure has changed since you got him. I'm glad you realized that he hadn't had any water for awhile. Rubio is our only beardie that can't stand to be in water. Instead I put him in the sink for a few minutes while I feed him water from a syringe. That works, as long as I give him water either daily or every 2nd day, he's a healthy dragon. But they will get sluggish if they don't get the water they require. So good you realized that. They sure are alot of work!

I am VERY VERY Grateful that Prince was in a 'decen't condition, and most of all... he came with the TANK ! IF I wouldve found him alone, the only extra tank I have is a 10 gallon, and he would've been in it until I was able to afford a bigger one.. so I was very happy ! Ii'm still watching him closely, he's getting better and better and can actually run now ! He's still skittish when I hold him, which is fine, I'm sure he's traumtized by humans before, but he gets lots and lots of roam around time and soemtimes he'll walk all over me

Geez how do you do it with 5 beardies !?! I have 2 and is ready to pull my hair out !!! I hate the fact that they dont get along ! Just more work, you know ? Like , roaming around time have to be two seperate times, seperate bathes, etc. Plus, they both sleep in the bed with me everynight (I know, I'm a big baby ), so having to wake up EARLY before MJ gets up to put Prince back in his tank.... is a pain in the AAAAAAAA**!! lol.

I gave them baths today and offocurse the knocked out right after :roll: lol.

I will Rainbow, having 5 beardies that don't get along means alot of work, but my hubby is retired and takes over when I go to work. They all get baths almost daily (i'm the bath person), and usually get the pooping over with. They do see each other sometimes, can't help it living in a 2 bed 912 squ ft apartment. If the girls see the boys, then it's flirting time. If the boys see each other (which is very rare, they're in separate rooms), then it's major black bearding. We thought the 3 girls would get along outside of their tanks, and they did for a few days at Xmas, now when they see each other it's fighting time, or stomping on each other. My hubby is dissappointed, he thought at least the girls would get along, but no dice.

They keep us very busy and we're not travellers, so that works. We don't have visitors much, not too many people want to eat dinner with a dragon staring at them, as Rubio's in the dining area. The 3 girls tanks are side by side along a living room wall and Lonzo has his own room, the 2nd bedroom, which is my office.

They all have different personalitites, so are fun to play with. They all get cuddles from me after bath & from Roger before bed. So it's working out, but there sure is no room. We also have a golden gecko in a mesh tank and a beta fish in a 10 gallon tank. So we're full to the rafters, so to speak.

Your babies are so cute and I'm glad that Prince is getting stronger every day; he probably thinks he's in heaven with the attention you give him. Great stuff, I'm glad he came with a tank, too.

wow, when i was having some computer troubles over the holidays i must have missed this... You are an amazing person, i cant believe someone would do that, but i must say HE LOOKS GREAT! Thank you so much for saving him. I'm so glad he found you and i'm sure he is too lol. Great pics, and please keep us informed on how they are doing!! :mrgreen:
